My journey into holistic healing began as I recognized the interconnections of mind, body, and spirit in the pursuit of true wellness. Drawing from my background in psychology, I understand the intricate workings of the human mind and the importance of addressing emotional and mental well-being in any healing process. My expertise in English literature provides a rich tapestry of narratives and metaphors, which I utilize to craft a personalized experience that resonates with each individual’s unique healing journey.
ONCE UPON A TIME…
Once when I was a child, someone observed that my full name initials were EMS. I ran with it and later would joke that I was EMS to the rescue. I grew up in a spiritually diverse family. Mi abuela (my grandmother) was a devout Catholic and believed in magic. My parents put their faith in several denominations from Pentecostal, Born Again Christian and Seventh-Day Adventist to name a few. Being closest to my grandmother, I knew she was in a lot of pain, and I would ask her what I could do to help her feel better. She would ask me to lay my hands on the parts of her body that hurt like her back and shoulders. Each time after, she would say that I had healing hands before I could truly understand what I was doing throughout my life. Later in life, I signed up for a Feminine Energy workshop at my favorite New Age Metaphysical shop Aum Shanti in Gramercy, NYC. Words can’t describe how incredible of an experience it was. It felt like an answer I was seeking for a really long time finally fulfilled. The following day, I was certified in Reiki Level 1. A month later, the global pandemic reached NYC and the rest is history.
SERENDIPITOUS JOURNEY…
There was a culmination of many serendipitous events that led to our paths crossing your journey of healing. If I had to place an actual timeline, it started on July 4, 2019, when I began my spiritual independence. I made my first intention to release what no longer served me and had an inspirational encounter with a magical woman who foresaw this journey and reunited me with the magic of mi abuela. Shortly after, I dived into esoteric divination methods like Tarot cards, Oracle cards, and the pendulum. Seven months later, on February 20, 2020, I was certified in Reiki Level 1. Being certified helped me to find healing and growth beyond measure while the world was in turmoil. Leading me to a place I could eventually give back and share with you. In March 2021, I was certified in Reiki level 2, meaning that I could facilitate Reiki energy through distance and time. In 2022, pursuing the next level in Reiki level 3a certification felt right, because it was an opportunity to begin an exciting journey that allowed me to understand what it meant to to have self-mastery of my healing journey. Being self-empowered is a daily practice and important to remind folks on their healing journey that they are self-empowered as well. Self-empowerment is the foundation to being able to pass on the teachings, and the following year completing the apprenticeship level of certification in Reiki level 3b in November 2023 with my Shinpiden Thomas was an incredible milestone in my growth and path with Reiki energy. I’m still learning and open to the lessons that Reiki practice provides on a daily basis.

Launching in February 2022, Fairy Lux Healing was a culmination of my academic pursuits, personal passion for holistic well-being and formal Usui Reiki certifications. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in English, I’ve cultivated a unique approach that integrates influence of psychology with the artistry of language to facilitate healing at the level that is necessary to elevate you and empower you on your healing journey.
